A little over one month from now, I will be returning to school to begin the process of getting my Master of Science in Information Systems. This is something I have been looking forward to for years.
I have paid for the first semester and completed all the paperwork. Pace University has awarded me with a scholarship for academic merit which almost covers the cost of an entire class. Between last night and now, I setup Microsoft OneNote with notebooks for my classes and bought a planner. I highlighted all the dates of which I should be aware during the semester and bookmarked the beginning date.
I am taking two classes (as required by the scholarship), both of which are online only. I don’t even have to step foot on campus. The down side of taking online only classes is you have to discipline yourself about getting your work done on time. You also have to check in regularly to make sure you are not missing anything. (It’s not your professor’s job to remind you when your assignments are due.) Online classes are pretty much perfect for people who are busy with a full-time job.
It’s going to be a lot of work, but I’m looking forward to a productive and educational first semester.
